Our Work

Fundación En Vía is a non-profit organization that works to empower women to better support themselves and their families.  We provide interest-free loans and educational programs to 250 entrepreneurial women in 6 communities just outside of Oaxaca, Mexico.

At En Vía we fundamentally believe in the combination of micro-loans with education. Through education programs, En Vía participants gain the business knowledge and skills that they need in order to effectively leverage their loan money. Our workshops offer further opportunities for our business partners to improve their products, diversify their business, reach different markets and much more.

Be part of the movement to improve our Education Program for 2019!

Our Goals!

  1. Provide business-specific workshops to the women entrepreneurs of En Vía. We started this initiative in 2018 and got great results! Flick through the photos above to see some examples.  Now we would like to continue this effort in 2019. Some ideas we have are...

    • Using Social Media for My Business

    • Ordering Leather for My Products

    • Presentation and Display

  2. Provide business courses in our new communities - Tlapazola and Guelavía. We recently extended our programs to 2 new communities within the Tlacolula Valley and you could play a role in helping us provide the best education to our new business partners!

Your donations will help pay for...

  • Workshop leaders

  • Transport for staff and workshop leaders

  • Materials for business courses and specialized courses

  • Stipend for an Education Program intern who will assist our Education Coordinator in organizing and delivering the business courses

Foundational Business Management Course

This is the first step to entering our program. All women entrepreneurs interested in receiving En Vía's microloans must participate in an introductory business course. The goal of these initial classes is that women learn the fundamentals of how to run and grow a business. These 8 sessions are conversation- and example-based and designed to be adapted for students with a range of literacy levels.
