Day of the Dead Tours
Immerse yourself in the colorful traditions and customs of Oaxacan communities during Day of the Dead – Día de los Muertos – celebrations. Through the hospitality of En Vía entrepreneurs and their families you will witness incredible altars created in family homes, partake in the traditional food and drink of the day, and learn about the customs and rituals that bring this holiday to life. Each Day of the Dead tour features customs unique to that day of the festival such as sitting vigil in the cemetery or accompanying a family member as they visit the altars of relatives and friends around town. Our Day of the Dead tours are an intimate, unique and special cultural exchange.
A Day-by-Day Look at the Celebrations:
October 30th: Witness preparations for the Day of the Dead festivities.
October 31st: Lend a hand in setting up traditional altars.
