Internships

English Program Designer

Community English courses have been a central pillar of En Via for many years. We are proud to offer English courses not only to women involved with En Via, but to all members of the two communities where we teach. However due to the pandemic we were forced to shut down the courses to protect the health of our students and teachers. As Oaxaca and the world is slowly re-opening we are excited to begin offering our courses again. We want to take this opportunity to re-start the programs. The English Program Designer will be responsible for writing the curriculum, choosing different teaching methodologies, and  being able to provide helpful resources to volunteer teachers and being familiar with possible games and activities. The English Coordinator will also be in charge of providing materials and resources to the teachers and ensuring the program’s curriculum is being adequately used. The English Coordinator is encouraged to continue developing supporting materials and activities to supplement the curriculum as well. Once the curriculum is finished, prior to the departure the English Program Designer will train  the community English teachers based at the moment in Oaxaca.
