Irene is an artisan specializing in handcrafted rugs, bags, cushion covers, table runners, coin purses, coasters, and jorongos (traditional shawls). She works in a family-run workshop, Artesanías Yuu Lee, where each piece is made using natural dyes and traditional techniques passed down through generations. Irene began learning the craft from a young age, and her work reflects a deep connection to her cultural heritage. Her designs are inspired by the geometric patterns found in the ancient ruins of Mitla and Monte Albán, blending history and artistry into every creation.
