Virginia started working at 16 years old. Without a family to lean on, she abandoned her dream of going to university and learned how to weave from her grandparents. She traveled a lot with her grandmother, going to expos in other states, where she learned more about her craft and sold her own work. With En Via's help, Virginia has been able to grow her business by buying more raw materials and creating more products. She alternates at the mercado like many other women, and also sells typical clothing from her home.
