Natural: Hecho a mano

Yanet Bazán Chávez

Yanet joined En Vía at just 17 years old, selling handmade jewelry during her long commute to university to support her studies. With her first loan, she invested in materials to grow her jewelry business. After earning her degree in accounting, Yanet and her husband, Manuel, opened their workshop “Natural, Hecho a Mano”, where they teach children and visitors how to dye yarn using natural ingredients. Today, their workshop offers handmade accessories, bags, and tapetes (rugs) colored with natural dyes. Yanet and Manuel also own an eco-friendly cabin called Casa Bambu with a private garden, which can be rented as accommodation or for events.
